I build companies. Over the past twenty years I've scaled two accounting start-ups from essentially zero to more than $100M in annual revenue each — building the systems, teams, and infrastructure that turn an early-stage business into one that holds together at scale.

Most recently I served as Chief Executive Officer of 1-800Accountant, the nation's largest virtual accounting firm for small businesses, from 2021 through 2025. I ran full P&L across a distributed organization of more than 600 people, drove revenue growth above 20% for four consecutive years while expanding margins, and moved the business off referral-partner dependency onto an AI-powered platform.

Before the CEO seat I spent five years as Chief Revenue Officer, building the revenue engine that made the job possible — no inherited team, no existing playbook, no marketing department. A partnership portfolio past $50M, a marketing function built from a single hire to $25M, and a sales organization grown from zero to more than 150 reps.

I co-founded 1-800Accountant in 2013, coming in as Senior Vice President of Sales & Business Development. Before that I spent nine years at MPG, starting in sales operations and rising to Vice President, where revenue went from $3M to over $125M and the team from eight people to more than two hundred.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Washington's Michael G. Foster School of Business in 2003. I have lived in the Seattle area nearly my whole life and now call Bellevue home.

What I am focused on now is the small-business end of all this. I think we are heading into a golden age of entrepreneurship: the administrative drag that used to kill companies before they ever got going is finally being engineered away, and the firms that serve small businesses are being rebuilt around that shift. It is the most interesting problem I know of, and it is where I intend to spend the next chapter.
